Big Mac

Age: 2

Gender: Male

Breed: Mastiff x Rhodesian Ridgeback

Big Mac is a big softie, he thoroughly enjoys affection and doesn’t realize his own size, lying on you and licking your face. Mac is a friendly boy, he will need an adult only home as he currently is not keen on other dogs and is undergoing socialization and muzzle training due to this, he is however a very clever boy and is improving with positive training. Mac will need owners physically strong enough to hold him and that are committed to force free training, he must be kept on lead on walks and walked in quiet areas where he will not become overwhelmed – he will need a very secure garden with a strong fence that is high enough. Mac would like a home without other dogs next door, or with neighbours that can keep their dog in when Mac is in the garden. He cannot live with cats or small animals. Mac becomes distressed when he is left and will counter surf out of boredom, he can also be destructive, he would suit owners who work from home so he can enjoy lots of company; Mac enjoys spending time with us in our home simulation room and will lie by your feet while you work! Mac would not suit a house-proud home as his favourite thing to do is cuddle on the sofa! Please come along to the shelter and ask for Karen who will be able to give you more information.
