Elma is a beautiful sweet little girl who is looking for a quiet calm adult only home where she can have her own garden to explore and have time in as she finds the outside world a bit scary at the moment. Elma needs someone who understands it is going to take a long time for her to settle and form a bond with her new owners, she needs patience and a routine and plenty of gentle TLC. Elma would need to live with a calm tolerant dog that enjoys being close companions with another dog, she draws confidence from living with a dog, and finds it hard to cope without one. Elma has been calm when left with the dog she shares her kennel with so should be fine to be left for a few hours once settled, this may change as she bonds closer to her humans however so would need to be done gradually to prevent any distress to Elma. Elma can have a fun cheeky side and likes to play bounce you, hitting you with her paw when she thinks she needs more fuss than you have given her! Elma will completely flourish in the right home. Please come along to the shelter and fill out an application if you would like to be considered for Elma.
