Polo is a sweet sensitive boy who is looking for a calm patient sighthound experienced home to call his own, he is very affectionate once he knows you and loves a fuss! Polo would benefit from being homed in a rural area as finds traffic quite daunting, he will also need a large secure garden to have some fun off-lead time in as he does like to sniff and explore, but has a high prey drive so needs to be on lead on his walks. Polo enjoys meeting other dogs, he is a bit vocal when he sees a dog but this is in a frustrated manner of I want to go and say hi! We can give plenty of advice on positive training methods to help Polo learn a little bit of patience when he sees a new potential dog friend. Polo can live with another dog pending the mix, he’d ideally suit living with another playful sighthound. He will need walks in quieter locations though as it can become too over exciting for him to be exposed to multiple dogs at once, he would love to make some doggie friends though to share his walks with! Polo does suffer from separation distress as loves his human company so much he doesn’t like to be on his own, so he will need a home with someone around for most of the day and time alone very gradually built up. Unfortunately Polo can’t live with small animals or cats as wants to chase. Please come along to the shelter and ask for more details on this super boy!
