Age: 3.5

Gender: Female

Breed: Greyhound

Winter is a sweetheart, she is a little shy at first, but soon makes friends with slow and gentle encouragement. Winter is looking for an adult only home, that is calm and can give her a routine to help her flourish, she will make such a wonderful companion. Winter could possibly live with another Greyhound, but would not suit living with other breeds, or having visiting dogs to her home, she lacks confidence and hasn’t been exposed to many dogs, she is undergoing gradual socialization here at the shelter and we can provide plenty of advice for a new home. Winter loves her home comforts, she likes a nice comfy bed to stretch out on, and plenty of company, she finds being alone a little stressful but this could be the kennel environment, we can give advice on how to settle Winter into her new home, but she would like someone around for most of the day to start with. Winter would like her own garden for off lead time, as she needs to be kept on lead and muzzled on walks. Winter walks beautifully on her harness, and does enjoy her walks, she wags her tail as she walks along exploring new places. Winter will be such a lovely friend to her new family. Please come along to the shelter and fill out an application if you would like to be considered for Winter.
