He’s a strong, energetic boy who brings a lot of zest to everything he does. Walks are currently a bit of a workout – he’s powerful on the lead – but he’s learning to wear a harness and is ready to keep building his skills with a patient, consistent family. His excitement can sometimes make him a little “full-on,” but it’s all part of his joyful, eager personality.
Benson has been friendly with everyone he’s met and really enjoys human company. He could happily live with children aged 12+ who understand that he’s a bouncy lad. He’d prefer to be the only pet in the home – no cats (they’re just too tempting to chase!) and no dogs, as he hasn’t had much socialisation and can feel anxious around them.
A secure garden would be a dream come true for Benson, giving him the perfect space to burn off his energy and zoom to his heart’s content. While he can sometimes be unsure about unfamiliar sounds, he finds great comfort in his crate, which he sees as his safe, cosy den. He has previously been used to being left for short periods, so with the right settling-in routine, he could adapt well to a new home life.
Benson is a loving, lively character who will thrive with guidance, playtime, and plenty of reassurance. In return, he’ll give you endless entertainment, loyal companionship, and a home filled with joyful chaos.
