Chow Chow, age 3 years 5 months
Lilibet arrived at the Shelter in February 2024 after squabbling with another dog in the home.
Lilibet is a typical Chow – she is very independent and can be a little aloof when meeting new people but she has formed strong bonds with our team and we know she will make a super pet if only someone will give her a chance.
Once she’s comfortable, Lilibet’s affectionate side shines, and she’ll quickly become your most loyal friend. She’s playful, fun-loving, and enjoys spending time with her favourite humans
Since being at the Shelter our team has helped her become more comfortable with grooming and when meeting new people. She is now a master of doggy-enrichment and clears her licki-mat of treats like a champ.
Aside from enjoying affection and a good brush of her luscious locks, Lilibet loves to spend her time sniffing, watching everything going on around her (especially wildlife and people), and flopping onto her favourite people for a fuss.
We asked Lilibet’s carers…
Why would Lilibet make a great pet?
She is very loyal to the people she knows and trusts and loves asking for fuss from them.
Tell us about Lilibet’s endearing qualities…
- She will paw at you for fuss if she thinks you’re not giving her enough attention.
- She gets the zoomies when running around then turns it into a game of chase until she’s too tired for any more.
- She really gets into enrichment activities.
What do you like most about Lilibet?
Lili is very loyal and sweet. She can be sassy but this is part of her personality and makes her quirky. I love when she cuddles up for belly tickles!
