Teddy came to the Shelter in April 2024 with his ‘brother’, Bear, after they stopped getting along in the home.

Teddy is an incredibly loving boy who forms strong bonds with his people and thrives on close companionship. He adores being near his humans and would happily spend his days right by your side, soaking up your company.

But there’s more to Teddy than just his soft side, he’s also super intelligent and loves to learn. While at the Shelter, he took part in a fantastic project with older children called HALT (Humans and Animals Learning Together) and showed off just how bright and responsive he can be. 

The young handler who was paired with Teddy was patient and kind to him, and they built a great bond. Teddy loved spending time with his handler playing scent games and scavenger hunts for treats. After taking part in HALT and realising young people are not so scary, Teddy could now possibly live with a teenager aged 14+!

Teddy would love a home with a secure garden where he can safely explore and take part in scent-based games, one of his favourite pastimes. Out and about, he’s always thrilled to see familiar faces and gives the warmest welcomes – a proper social butterfly with his trusted circle.

Why would Teddy make a great pet?

Teddy would love to spend his time curled up with you with lots of cuddles and the occasional belly rub!

• He gets VERY excited to go on walks and loves the outdoors.
• He is very foody which means he engages well with training.

What do you like most about Teddy?

He is a very sweet dog and I love when he gets all cuddly after an enriching walk.
