Inflatable 5k on World Animal Day

A team of staff, volunteers, and supporters will take on the Inflatable 5k challenge on World Animal Day.

At Cheltenham Animal Shelter we are all about the animals so we are proud to support the work of our friends at Naturewatch Foundation in celebrating World Animal Day by taking on a challenge, alongside our wonderful supporters, to raise money for pets in need.

Organised by Naturewatch Foundation, World Animal Day is celebrated annually on October 4th to promote animal rights and welfare, aligning with the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilising it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals.

Alison Jarvis, head of our fundraising team, and Kim Ashton, one of our tireless volunteers, will be bouncing, scrambling and climbing around the course alongside a horde of supporters, adults and children alike.

It promises to be a fun filled day with plenty of laughs and we can’t wait to share the photos with our readers!

With a month of fundraising still to go, our tenacious team has already raised over £1,200 for to help the animals who need us most.
