Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving allows you to make donations directly from your salary before tax, costing you less to help us care.
Each year we care for hundreds of vulnerable pets and rely on donations from the public to support our work.
Payroll Giving, also, known as Give As You Earn or Workplace Giving, is a simple and cost effective way that you can support our work, enabling us to care for more pets hoping to find their forever home.
The advantage of Payroll Giving is that donations are taken directly from your salary before tax. This means it costs you less to help us care. For each £1 you give, the cost to you will only be 80p (or 60p if you are a higher rate tax-payer).
You can give as much or as little as you like and stop your donations at any time.
How does Payroll Giving work?
In order to donate this way, your employer will need to have a scheme in place.
Your HR department should have a form that you can complete. When you have completed the form your HR department will send it on to their payroll giving agency.
If you’re not sure if your employer has a scheme in place, it’s easy for them to set one up.

How is the donation taken?
Payroll Giving donations are deducted from your gross pay, which means they are taken before tax. This gives you tax relief on your donations and means that it costs you less.
And since Payroll Giving comes straight from your pre-tax pay, we don’t need to claim tax back through Gift Aid which helps to save on our admin.
With Payroll Giving, the cost to you is calculated depending on your tax bracket. For example:
