Izzy enjoys the quieter side of life and would love a calm home where she can settle in at her own pace and enjoy all the comforts of family life – cosy beds, peaceful walks, and plenty of reassurance from people she trusts. Busy environments can feel a little overwhelming for her, so she’ll be happiest somewhere a bit more peaceful where she can really thrive.
While she can take a little time getting to know new people, patience with Izzy is very rewarding. Once she realises she’s safe, her sweet personality starts to shine, and she’ll happily come over for a fuss – especially if chin scratches are involved!
Izzy could live with children aged 14+, who can understand that she likes a calm, gentle approach while she settles in. She may also enjoy sharing her home with another sighthound, as she seems to gain confidence from having a companion around – a built-in best friend to show her that home life is actually pretty wonderful. Izzy is looking for a home without cats or small animals.
Izzy settles nicely when left in her kennel at the shelter, although any time alone in a home may need a gentle introduction as she adjusts to her new surroundings.
