Bear is a big, cuddly, teddy bear of a dog who’s ready to find his forever home.
He’s looking for an adult-only household, as he prefers the calm and consistency that comes with grown-up company. He’d much rather be the only pet in the home, as he likes his own space when it comes to other animals. Just Bear, his humans, and perhaps a hot dog or two would be his dream.
Bear would love a secure garden with high fencing, where he can stretch out in the sunshine for his favourite thing… belly rubs! His whole face lights up when he receives attention, especially when he hears the words ‘good boy!’.
Bear is a massive foodie, and treats are the way to his heart (and his training brain). He’s already got some impressive credentials, having taken part in an IMDT training course where he was an absolute star. Everyone there fell for him and who could blame them? He’s charming, smart and eager to learn.
Bear enjoys all sorts of activities, but scent work is by far his favourite. While he can be strong on the lead at times, he responds brilliantly to positive training, especially when snacks are part of the deal. Bear enjoys peaceful walks, preferring calm, quiet routes where he can take in his surroundings without too much hustle and bustle.
He can get a bit anxious when left on his own, so he’d thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he is loyal boy who loves being close to his people.
