Magnus

Magnus is a showstopper in every sense – a big, bouncy bundle of fluff with movie star looks and a heart of gold. He’s got the brains, the beauty, and a bit of cheeky charm thrown in for good measure.

This gentle giant adores people and greets everyone like an old friend, tail wagging and ready for fuss. His ideal day? One where he’s simply by your side, supervising your every move like the world’s most lovable (and nosy) assistant. Whether you’re gardening, folding laundry, or just popping to the kitchen, Magnus will be there, supervising with soulful eyes and big happy face.

He knows a few tricks and loves an audience – if there were awards for “best paw” or “most enthusiastic sit,” he’d be a champion. He’s also quite the water baby and loves a splash about, but be warned, puddles are not safe from this big lad’s enthusiasm.

Magnus is strong and he doesn’t quite realise how much space he takes up when he’s in play mode. His future human will need a sense of humour, some good arm strength, and ideally a secure garden for him to bounce about in.

Magnus could live with children aged 14+ who can interact with him in a kind and respectful way . He’s happy to meet calm dogs out and about, but he’s not looking for a canine housemate. Excitable off-lead dogs can be a bit much for him, and he’s not shy about telling them so. As for cats – Magnus thinks they’re just way too exciting to share a home with.

He travels well in the car, and is content snoozing at home alone for a few hours, but truthfully, he’d much rather be where the action is (i.e., wherever you are). He’s generally good with handling, though a bit sensitive around his back end, and as for the vets, let’s just say he’d prefer a biscuit and a quick getaway, after a previous experience that has left him a bit scared.

Magnus is, in a word, gorgeous – inside and out. He’s the sort of dog who leaves pawprints on your heart and mud on your trousers. For the right person or family, he’ll be a loyal, loving, slightly clumsy best friend – a real “heart dog” ready to start his next adventure.

Could you be Magnus’s forever person?
