Pepper is a gorgeous Dachshund with a gentle soul and a wonderfully puppy-like spirit. She’s still very much a baby at heart and is known for bursting into joyful zoomies and playtime when the mood strikes – it’s impossible not to smile watching her!
This lovely girl is happiest when she’s close to her people. Pepper adores reassurance and affection and will happily snuggle right into you for comfort, climbing all over you just to be as near as possible. She enjoys a bit of fuss, but more than anything she loves simply being by your side.
Pepper can be a bit of a sensitive soul. She’s anxious around new people and may let out a bark on walks to let you know she’s unsure, but with patience, kindness and a calm environment she really shines. Because of this, she’d be best suited to a quiet home and area where her triggers are kept to a minimum.
She could live with sensible children aged 12+ and may be able to share her home with another small, well socialised dog. She’s also happy seeing dogs out and about on walks.
Pepper would really benefit from a secure garden where she can safely explore and let off some steam. She has previously been left for a few hours and is crate trained, which she sees as her safe space. She can be a little vocal when people pass the house or garden, so understanding neighbours and a quieter setting would be ideal.
