Tewkesbury’s Big Weekend – Saturday 16th May
Cheltenham Animal Shelter is excited to be part of Tewkesbury Big Weekend once again. We will be hosting our popular fun dog show at the Vineyards, where you and your furry friends can enjoy a day of competition and excitement.
That’s not all, as we have got other activities lined up to keep both humans and dogs entertained:
- Local stallholders offering unique, handmade gifts for a perfect souvenir.
- Fun dog activities to keep your dog engaged and having fun.
Fun dog show
11am – Event opens at The Vineyards
11:00 – Registration opens
12:00 – Waggiest Tail or Wiggliest Bottom
12.30 – Loveliest Lady
13:00 – Fabulous Fella
13:45 – Golden Oldie and Adorable Puppy
14:15 – Top Rescue
14:45 – Scruffiest or Fluffiest
15:15 – The dog judges would most like to take home
15:45 – Show ends
4pm – Walking parade due at The Vineyards
Other Highlights at Tewkesbury Big Weekend:
- Walking Parade: Saturday, 16th May at 3:30 PM – starting from Sun Street, follow the parade route through the High Street, Church Street, and onto Gander Lane to the Vineyards.
- River Parade: Sunday, 17th May at 12:00 PM – a unique river procession.
- Katakanu Boat Racing: Sunday, 17th May – get ready for some exciting water action!
- Street Entertainers: All weekend – enjoy a variety of performances throughout the event.
- Boat Trips: All weekend – explore the area from the water.
- Children’s Fairground Rides: Riverside – fun for the whole family!
Plus, don’t miss the Picnic in the Park at Victoria Gardens on Sunday, 17th May at 12:30 PM, featuring live music and delicious treats, including cakes, brownies, scones, and ice cream.
