2025 Photo Pet Show Winners

by | Jan 2, 2026 | Shelter news

We would like to say a huge thank you to every pet who entered our photo pet show!

You are all winners in our eyes and together you raised £173 for the pets spending this winter at the Shelter.

We absolutely loved looking through all the wonderful entries, and our judges had a very tough job choosing just one winner in each class. After much deliberation, we’re delighted to announce the pawsome pets we feel are worthy winners of our 2025 Photo Pet Show:

Cosiest Pet – Chewie

“Chewie is roughly two and a half years old. We found him abandoned in a box on the side of the road, when he was a tiny kitten. He quickly became an important part of our family with his chatty and curious personality. He’s a smart boy who loves running around with our other cats and a warm spot to curl up on”

Santa’s Little Helper – Buttons

“Buttons is now 15 years old but still mischievous with the Christmas decorations, taking all the tinsel off and making herself a comfy bed underneath the tree.”

Christmas Cracker – Pudding

“Pud is a bull breed cross, largely boxer and staffie, with possibly some pointer or even bloodhound in there. As far as we know, she’s about four years old.  She’s a total hoot and has the biggest canine grin I’ve ever seen.

When she isn’t snoozing, she’s smiling and has such a lovely, happy disposition. She has a great sense of humour and is always up for a joke and behind a prank. She also loves a snooze, especially in the kitchen where the action is.”

Winter’s Tail – Remus

“This is Remus! We adopted him from CAS on 12/12/2025. He’s a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and is eight years old. We think he should win as although he’s very poorly and we’re not sure how long we have left with him, he is the sweetest little thing we have ever met and he has absolutely stolen our hearts!

He is so loving and you would never know he was sick! He’s really come out of his shell and as much as he loves cuddles he can be a cheeky chap too, especially when it comes to ham! We love him so very dearly and hope we can make his last few months the most fun!”
