We are thrilled to have been awarded ‘Charity of the Year’ at last night’s SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards in partnership with Visit Gloucestershire and Made in Gloucestershire!
General Manager, Peter Newcombe, went along to the awards ceremony at Dunkerton’s Cider with Operations Manager, Nicky Spanswick, where they were surprised and honoured to accept this prestigious award on behalf of the Shelter.
Peter said “It is wonderful to be chosen as Charity of the Year among such worthy finalists and to have our work recognised by the Gloucestershire community. We have a fantastic team who work tirelessly to make sure that pets in need are cared for, and the public has somewhere to turn if they need help or advice about all aspects of pet ownership. We aim to educate children about responsible pet ownership so that they can grow up to be the animal advocates of tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who voted for us to win this award and to the judges for choosing us.”
Nicky seconded Pete’s comments and added “Every single member of the team works really hard to make sure that the animals in our care and pets in the local community receive the love, care, and attention they deserve. It is wonderful to have our work recognised in this way. Thank you to everyone involved.”
We would like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our super supporters who voted for us, to the team at #SGGLA for including us in this year’s awards, and to Active Gloucestershire for sponsoring the Charity of the Year category.
