Meet Toast – she won’t pop out of a toaster, but she will pop into your heart. A shy but incredibly sweet soul, she is slowly blossoming into the loveliest girl. She needs kind, patient owners who will give her the reassurance and support she deserves as she grows in confidence.
This delightful girl adores tasty rewards – hot dogs, meaty treats, chicken feet and natural chew sticks (the stinkier the better, says Toast!). Once she realises you are her friend, she greets you with the most heart-melting wag and will happily curl up beside you on the couch for cuddles. She also enjoys a gentle brush and will lean in for affection once she feels safe. It won’t take long to see why she’s truly the best thing since sliced bread!
Toast isn’t keen on being left alone just yet. She loves having her humans nearby and feels much more confident and relaxed when she’s sharing their company.
Toast is a sensitive soul who can be worried by energetic dogs, but she enjoys walking with very calm, respectful companions – sighthounds are her favourite! She could also possibly live with a very placid, quiet sighthound with good social skills. She can live with sensible, gentle children aged 14+, but cats and small furries are not suitable housemates, as Toast does have a natural urge to chase.
Because she is nervous of loud noises and finds the world overwhelming at times, Toast will need quieter walks and owners who can help her understand that life doesn’t have to be frightening. With gentle guidance, patience, and positive reinforcement training, she will continue to blossom; she is just waiting for someone to give her the forever home she’s always dreamed of.
Autumn evenings were made for Toast – your very own cuddly canine hot water bottle… the perfect sidekick for sofa, snacks and staying put.
