Kida

Kida is a very sweet, very leggy lady that has stolen all of our hearts at the shelter! On first meeting she might pause for a teeny moment to check you’re friendly, but a happy voice sends her zooming into wags, kisses, and uncontainable puppy glee (don’t mind the extra height!). She may greet you with a jump or two—she’s clearly practicing for a gold medal in enthusiastic greetings—but she means well and with gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, she’s learning that keeping all four paws on the floor can be just as rewarding.

The life and soul of the party, Kida wants to be friends with every dog in the neighbourhood—and if they play hard to get, she’ll belly-crawl across the floor to charm them anyway. Kida is a pro at car rides, can turn any walk into an adventure, and still manages to claim the comfiest spot on the sofa for a well-earned cuddle.

Incredibly clever, Kida has a whole host of tricks and training skills to wow you with (she’s basically a canine overachiever). Kida will thrive with an owner who has the time and patience to enjoy the joys (and tiny mischiefs) of adolescence (the “I’m adorable, so minor mischief is just part of my charm” phase).

She’d love a garden to play in, sniff to her heart’s content, and practice her occasional graceful – or not-so-graceful – leaps.

Best in a home where any children are 14 or older and confident around dogs—her playful energy is a perfect match for kids who can keep up. With love, engagement, and a sense of humour, Kida will be a loyal, exuberant, and endlessly entertaining companion—your perfect new best friend!
