Photo Pet Show Winners

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who entered our photo pet show. We have thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all the entries and finding out about our supporters’ pawsome pets. Not only that but the pet show raised £157 for our animals!

Our judges had a really tough time picking the winners from so many super entries, but after much deliberation, here are the lucky few who will receive a goodie bag. Congratulations!

Cosiest Pet – Kendal

“I rescued Kendal in August, she’s a lovely nearly two year old who loves to be near you for cuddles. She quite often sleeps like this which amuses me every time but makes me love her more because of how cute she is.”

Christmas Cracker – Wilson

“My pets name is wilson and he is 8 years old, and is a lurcher. Wilson should win the christmas cracker class because when he yawns at us he looks likes he is having a right old laugh with us.”

Santa’s Little Helper – Laina

“Laina is our 5 year old Greek harehound who we adopted from a charity called Zante Strays, after she was found in a field with her mum as a puppy. Laina is our little ‘helper’ as she likes to let us know when the bin needs to be emptied- which has inspired one (of many) nicknames for her as ‘bin dipper’.”

We especially loved reading the entries for ‘Winter’s Tail’ and couldn’t decide on just one winner, so there are two winners in this class.

Winter’s Tail – Trixie

“I applied for lots of different dogs from various centres and didn’t hear back or when I did hear back I had been unsuccessful. I was feeling disheartened as I had lots of time and love to give a dog. One day I had an email to ask me if I would like to visit the Animal Shelter. From the moment I saw Pippa (that was her name then) I fell in love with her and knew that she was the dog for me. Trixie has made such a difference to my life. I enjoy getting up and taking her for a walk. She is so adorable, I get chatting to people most days and they say “isn’t your dog lovely”. I don’t feel as anxious any more and even my sleeping has improved. Big thank you to Cheltenham Animal Shelter.”

Winter’s Tail – Pebbles

“Pebbles is our ragdoll cat. She was given to us by Family Fund so that she could be a therapy cat for Izzy. Izzy is autistic and has an anxiety disorder, with sensory challenges, and ADHD. Pebbles is her comfort and just seems to know when Iz needs her support. She’s always by her side on the sofa, or snuggled into her when she’s sad or stressed. Plus she’s really daft and naughty, creating many moments of entertainment for Izzy and the rest of the family. Pebbles has changed Izzy’s life xx”

How it works

Sign up for the Winter Photo Pet Show using the form at the bottom of this page and choose the classes you’d like to enter.

If your pet fits the criteria of more than one class, then you can enter as many classes as you like. Submit one photo per class entered of your pet showcasing their unique charm and beauty!

Once registration closes at midnight on Sunday 24th November, our expert panel will carefully review each entry based on class criteria. Winners will be notified by email and announced on our website and/or social media platforms. Winners will be invited to join us at our Festive Fayre on Thursday 28th November to see their winning photo on display and collect a pet goody bag (alternative times can be arranged for anyone unable to attend the Festive Fayre to collect their goody bag.)

Four fun classes to enter

Winter’s Tail

This pet show class celebrates the extraordinary bond between pets and their owners through heart-warming stories of how they found each other and transformed each other’s lives. Whether your pet came to you in a time of need, helped you through tough times, or you gave them a second chance at life, this class is dedicated to those special stories that highlight the deep connection we share with our pets.

We invite you to share how your furry, feathered, or scaly friend entered your life and the impact they’ve had. Has your pet provided comfort, companionship, or even a reason to smile every day? Perhaps you’ve helped them overcome difficult beginnings, giving them the loving home they truly deserve.

Christmas Cracker

The Christmas Cracker class is all about laughter and fun, celebrating the funniest and most entertaining moments you’ve caught of your pet in action. Whether it’s a comical pose, a hilarious mishap, or a moment of pure playful joy, this class is dedicated to the pets that never fail to bring a smile to your face.

This is the perfect class for sharing the playful, quirky, and downright hilarious side of your furry, feathered, or scaly companions.

Cosiest Pet

This class is all about celebrating those irresistibly cute and cosy moments when your pet is fast asleep. Whether they’re curled up in a blanket, stretched out in a sunbeam, or snuggled up in their favourite spot, this class highlights the serene and adorable side of your furry, feathered, or scaly friend as they catch some well-deserved rest.

Pets have a way of making even the simplest nap look heart-meltingly sweet, and we want to see those peaceful moments that warm your heart. From funny sleeping positions to the ultimate cosy cuddles, this is your chance to share how your pet relaxes in style!

Santa’s Little Helper

This class shines a light on the moments when your pet is at their most helpful, or perhaps not so helpful! Whether they assist you with daily tasks in their own unique way or “help” by adding a bit of chaos, this class is dedicated to the pets who love to get involved, no matter the outcome.

From pets who try their best to assist with chores or “supervise” festive preparations, to those whose idea of helping involves a little mischief, we want to see how your furry, feathered, or scaly friend brings their own brand of helpfulness to your life.

Submit your photos of your pet being Santa’s Little Helper, whether they’re truly helpful or hilariously the opposite, and let’s celebrate the joys (and challenges) of having pets who love to lend a paw!
