17th to 24th May 2025

At our Shelter, we believe every dog is unique and deserves the chance to thrive in a loving home. While many of our dogs are adopted within weeks, some stay with us a little longer – and a few remain for months, even years. These are our long-stay dogs.

There are many reasons a dog might stay with us longer than others. Often, they simply need a special kind of home – one that understands their individual quirks and is ready to help them flourish at their own pace.

Each of these dogs has so much love to give and is just waiting for the right person to see how special they truly are. Please take a moment to meet them.

If you think you could offer one of them a second chance and a forever home, click the link in their biography to apply – or come along to our special event on Saturday 24th May (details below) to learn more about them.

Join us for a special event at the Shelter

If hearing about these super dogs through the eyes of the people who know them best – our dedicated Animal Care Team – has left you wanting to find out more, please join us for our exclusive event for potential adopters on Saturday 24th May from 10am to 12 noon at the Shelter.

The event will focus on these seven very special rescue dogs who are looking for forever homes. The team will tell you more about each dog with time for Q&A and the opportunity to arrange a 1-2-1 meeting to see if one of these wonderful pups could fill that empty space on your sofa!

Places are limited so we politely ask that you only book a place if you are interested in potentially adopting one of these dogs. Our featued dogs are not suitable for homes with other pets or young children.

The event is free to attend but places are limited and must be reserved in advance.
